My client is looking to add an IT Security candidate to the current team of 15. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong IT Security candidate to implement and monitor the IT security architecture of a major financial company. This IT Security candidate should be very familiar with application security, as the job will consist of protecting business applications. All IT Security candidates who apply should have a strong knowledge of application penetration testing. Some tools that candidates should know include (AppScan and Fortify). To qualify IT Security candidates must have a bachelor’s in information systems or a related field. A minimum of 4 years in an IT security position within a financial institution. A candidate coming from a development backround who migrated into a security position would be a great fit. Skills that will be needed include strong verbal communication as this role requires the IT Security candidate to converse with developers as well as work within a team of 15. You will have excellent leadership skills as well as being a team player. In this position there is room for substantial growth. The IT Security candidate will need to lead projects. This candidate will be able to demonstrate they can take a project from scratch and see it through to completion. Certifications are welcomed but not necessary (CISM, CISSP, GSEC, GIAC, CISA). Also required Technical Knowledge and Skills include windows 2000, 2003, Linux, Unix. Experience with programming languages such as Java, C, C++, C# and .net are important.
