Fantastic opportunity to join a very successful and rapidly growing Global Trading Firm as a Java developer. You will work in the core global technology team of the proprietary trading firm and be responsible for the development of Trading Systems, Pricing Applications, Framework and Infrastructure, Client Connectivity, Direct Market Access and Risk Systems. You will work with cutting edge technology and the development of real time, speed intensive Trading Systems. You will be responsible for system design, application design and software programming and will have excellent skills in core JAVA development in order to be involved in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

The ideal candidate will have 2 - 6 years of programming experience in JAVA with proficiency in Object Oriented Design and Analysis. Technical expertise with low level programming such as networking, socket programming, TCP/IP and multithreading are required. Javascript, software prototyping, VBA, .NET, Excel, SQL, MS Access, MySQL, WinSock, Bash, Perl, scripting are all major advantages for this position. A strong academic background is required with at least a Bachelor’s in Computer Science with a GPA of 3.0+. Exposure to multi-threaded and distributed real time application development is a requirement. Experience working within the finance industry is not mandatory, as you will be trained on the financial domain knowledge. Excellent communications skills are a must, as you will be sitting in the front office and liasing with all levels of management, traders and quants.
