Front Office Developer

Prop trading firm seeks motivated and determined front office developer. The ideal candidate will be a strong object oriented developer and eager to learn and work with new technologies. You will be a front office developer writing scripts, checking functionality and testing the end product. You will be among a team of well rounded developers who you must be able to communicate and share ideas with effectively. As a developer, you will be building and maintaining real time trading and analysis applications.

The ideal candidate must be a strong object oriented developer, but you also must be willing to learn and develop in Core Java. Software prototyping and strong design principles are needed in addition to hands on VBA or .NET experience. One must be strong in Excel including macro and add-in development. Proficiency in database; SQL – MS Access and MYSQL is vital along with experience using WinSock to connect to proprietary applications. It would be advantageous to have Bash or Perl scripting skills.

The successful candidate will be passionate about this industry and knowledge of the financial markets is preferable. Strong analytical skills are necessary for this position; you must have well developed organizing and planning skills.
